Leica has chosen Adobe's DNG format for its new Digital Module for the R body camera (DMR). Although there have been a few false starts, it looks like the final problems have been worked out. For anyone interested, you can go here: http://www.leicaphoto.net/Download/DMR_Raw/index.html
and grab any of a number of RAW files and see how they compare with what you're getting from Pentax, Canon, and Nikon. Might make some interesting conversation. Shel
