I was helping put slides away as the judging was occurring, I can say
that there were less than a handful of slides that I saw that I would
not have tried to claim.
I don't know how those guys do it, I would probably still be there
trying to decide. I was going to bribe the judges, then I remembered
that I had not entered :-)
The inner workings of such an event are incredible,

I don't see it mentioned so far, but Pentaxians mopped up at the
awards for the Nature Photo Contest at GFM this year.
Charles Brazwell (sp?), a Pentaxian and some-time lurker won grand
prize (as usual) and (at least) one other prize, maybe two.
Tom Reese got a second prize and an honourable mention. Tom's
partner, Susan (a Canonite, but friend of the list none-the-less) got
an honourable mention.
Ken Waller got an honourable mention.
I hope I didn't miss anyone. Someone else can fill in the details WRT
category, etc,. and if I missed anyone, my deepest apologies, and
please pipe up and make yourself heard.
It was an awesome contest; all photos were great. I wasn't in it
this year, next year I will be, and will be breaking the nature photo
mold, with blurry black and white digital captures.
Congrats to all Pentaxian winners! All were most deserving.
cheers,
