I could chime in, but you are doing a great job for the moment.
My 31 was available for use on the mountain, no one ever asked. I had
plenty of M42 lenses available for use on the *ist D along with the fact
that I shot medium format too.
I missed out on picking up my medium format today because I had to work
late :-(
