Great to know ;-)) Might there be a greater variety of screens available
using the LX screens in an MX.
If a screen was purchased new and kept in its case, never having been
installed in a camera, would it eventually yellow and lose brightness?
Not sure, but if so I think that it will be barely noticeable, since UV must
be the main cause for yellowing and light transmission dimming .
Oh, of course I have to mention that when using a brighter screen (e.g. LX
screen on the MX) you need meter adjustment, while the LX does not need
that, due to its off-the-film (off-the shutter curtain) metering system.
In cameras needing correction, that can also be done by setting a "proper"
ISO sensitivity.
