I know this view has been done millions of times. But I thought it would be a good test for the 6x7 I recently acquired. Boy, if I'm going to be scanning many more of these negs in, I am definitely going to have to beef up my rig. The full size of this pano is 18689x6327.
Love the camera. Didn't use the leaf shutter in these shots, so the normal mirror slap didn't seem to affect the sharpness that much.
And I discovered I DON'T like the Photomerge function in PS. It leaves these ugly diagonal blend lines. Much better to do it by hand and adjust channels.
Yes, I notice the blend around where the Opera House is could be better. This frame was a bit tricky, because I didn't want to blow out the details of the ferry wharf (which I did in any case), so the sky was under-exposed. Might have to go back and take a couple, and do an HDR blend.
