Ansel shot color and did other things that people don't really remember him for. he pushed the state of the art in technology of the time and there is every reason to believe that he would do the same if he was around and shooting today. as far as i am concerned, his B&W work is superb, but easily dated. his color work is superb, and not so easily dated, and definitely not as well known. all those old established landscape techniques that only old fogies use? he invented many of them when they didn't exist and pushed the limits of those that did.
