Hi, > No kidding. It's too bad we didn't meet!
I think I was tied up with other business for the whole of that weekend, otherwise I would like to have come over to Oxford for the meeting there. > We had a great lunch > at The Yacht and then walked up the water for a bit. Jostein has taken some good photos from The Yacht and surrounding area. > We > enjoyed wandering around that residential area and I even > joked to Nate about buying a second home there. It's a nice area to live in. It still has a human scale, and people are very friendly to each other. > You actually reminded me that there was one photo from that > area that I'd meant to put up; it's here: > http://sunny16.smugmug.com/gallery/590362/1/24918768 That walk you did along the river in front of the old Naval College is one I do most days, and several times a day at the weekends, usually. It's one of the reasons I came to live here. The atmosphere on the river is never the same from one day to the next. I'm gradually building up a collection of photos of life on the river, which I'll get round to organising some time. -- Cheers, Bob > -----Original Message----- > From: Amita Guha [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 14 June 2005 03:27 > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: GESO: London photos > > > That's a nice shot of the Millennium Bridge from St. Paul's - I > > haven't seen that view before. > > Thanks! > > > Lovell's Wharf that you photographed in Greenwich is very > close to my > > house. > > No kidding.
