- it has a larger LCD which is important for some people
- it's a way Pentax can compete in price with Canon and Nikon as these
two companies sell low end cameras with pentamirrors which are a lot
cheapper to manufacture.
- the 670 Eur launch price will go down after a while, I think the point
of this camera is to compete in price with Canon and Nikon low end
models, not with the DS. It's a way of saying: we can also make cameras
at that price but if you're prepared to pay just a bit more you can have
a much better viewfinder.

I, for one, don't doubt it at all. People do the darnedest things.
It's important to realize that people do not always think the same
way, and just because YOU wouldn't do something, or you and/or I don't
understand why anybody WOULD do something, does not mean that nobody
else will actually do it.
