Not exactly. You see, you can't actually BUY Photoshop, you can only transfer, or "buy" the license to use it, from a legitimate, registered owner. So, if you buy a cheap copy from eBay, you may be getting a bootleg or pirated copy, and when you try to upgrade the serial number may not work. If you try to register the copy, Adobe will laugh at you, or, if it's a legit copy, the original owner has to authorize a transfer. It's not quite as straightforward as you think it is. You might want to check this out with Adobe or on the Adobe User-to-User forum to be sure, although over on the U2U forum this situation comes up at least once a week, and this is what all those who want an el-cheapo eBay copy are told. BTW, I know several people who tried what you suggest and who were shot down. So, be careful out there .... you may be getting less than you bargained for.
