"One of the things to know up front which Wigwam apparently still does not
understand is that PayPal takes credit cards. A credit card company (by law in
the US) immediately withdraws the funds from PayPal if the buyer claims a
dispute. What do you think PayPal does then? Yep, they withdraw the funds from
you. However if you can document everything you can win the dispute (assuming
your are in the right), if you can not document everything you will not. The
assumption is the buyer is in the right."

Your statement about Paypal's chargeback scheme is untrue.

If a buyer files a complaint with the credit card company that they used to pay
for their Paypal purchase, then yes, the charge is reversed (called a
'chargeback') to Paypal. You would be correct if that is what happens.

However, Paypal actively asks that buyers NOT file a complaint with their
credit card company until going through Paypal's internal dispute resolution
first.

And when a buyer files a complaint with Paypal, as Paypal recommends, the
credit card company is NOT notified, and there is NO chargeback. Paypal does,
however, withdraw the funds from the seller's account until the dispute is
resolved.

If I am wrong, prove it.

As to your statement that "if you can document everything you can win the
dispute". Ha. You are given a web page with 500 characters to explain 'your
side of the story'. No documentation. No affidavits. No sworn statements.
500 characters. You can type whatever you like - none of it constitutes
'proof' of anything, it is just words.

"The assumption is the buyer is in the right."

That is the only thing you said that is true.

Now, tell me again what it is that I just don't understand.
