I believe Pentax used fuzzy logic back in the Z-20(?) for program mode. Anyway, I
believe all manufacturers use the way Minolta uses as described below. No system
litterally go thruogh a database of, say, 100 000 pictures to determine exposure.
Also, Pentax have used distance informations for metering and AF the last ten years
and both Minolta and Nikon are newcomers in this regard.
