I've used the Sigma flash wireless. The built-in flash will trigger it.

Yes, as far as I remember, but I could be wrong.
That is what I understood of previous discussion on this topic.

Thibouille, are you saying that to do wireless with the Sigma
you have to buy TWO of them, even for the ist-D?

I think the external one does react to the pop-up one.
Something like a small fire to begin and another one to stop.
What I'm sure of is that you can choose between a couple channels so
your flash does not fires if the guy next to you uses a similar
setup.
However, be advised that the Sigma one doesn't work with the D popup
(nor the DS which doesn't even suport this feature). But if you have
a
Sigma on the camera and the Sigma handheld, it'll work alright.
The 360FGZ has the advantage that it can play nicely with the
pop-up flash.

Wireless TTL - what is it and how does it work?
you get TTL without the need for cords everywhere. eg you can just
have the flash in your hand and body in other hand you still have
TTL.
How do the camera and the flash comunicate? Radio signals? Or does
the
external flash follow the pop-up camera flash?
