 Hmm, I must give it a go someday.  I have one of those fancy flatbeds with a 
built-in transparency unit (Agfa Arcus 1200).  It'd be just the thing for a 
contact sheet, particularly as you can calibrate it for the film in use pretty 
easily.  Pity I don't have a photo printer but I can easily email the file to the 
lab...

 The only problem is that I'd have to use the glass plate, which means Newton 
rings...
