Hi!
To the K2 & K2DMD owners out there:

I am experiencing more and more "stiff" MLU/ML lever on my K2 DMD. The
lever works ok in auto exposure lock mode (slide down), but is very
hard to slide up (to lock up the mirror). The mirror up is done in two
steps - first the lever slides up a little bit, raising the mirror by
its rear, then (after overcoming a VERY hard to push treshold) the
front part of mirror is raised too. This treshold is what is too hard
to overcome, especially if the camera is tripod mounted (cause I can't
turn it upside down and press down). Any K2/DMD owner knows it? Is
there a remedy? When I was repairing my K2DMD, I cleaned all the grease
and grit that accumulated there (although the rest of the body is
pretty well insulated, see my K2DMD repair report back in the
archives), and it was subjectively a little easier to push. but now its
hard again (perhaps I just imagined it was easier back then...). Is
the mechanism KX uses for MLU easier? It seems to be built into the DOF
preview button/lever just above the selftimer, similar to LX? Anyway,
K2DMD is great, MX would be better though (smaller), KX the best (no
batteries, +MLU,...).

Is Chinon CM-5 a good all-mechanical body? Is it reliable? I am
looking for a small all-mechanical K-mount camera to take with me
everywhere, but KXes and MXes are pretty expensive these days.

Regards,
        Frantisek
