No power zoom functions will work on the*ist-D - it doesn't have the
body-to-lens power contacts to operate the zoom motor in the lens.

Everything else, though, works just fine.  Auto focus is powered by
a mechanical drive system with a motor in the body, and still works.

The same is true for the power zoom 28-105 - if yours doesn't auto-
focus on the *ist-D, you've got a problem (or you've left the body
switched to manual focus).

The power zoom 28-105 is my most used lens on my *ist-D, and the
80-200 is my second most used lens, so I speak from experience.
