Hi Gianfranco, I've been playing with the F80 and, while at the
beginning I liked how the active focus sensor highlights over the
image, I realized in the end how distracting this is. The look
tends to converge to the sensor symbol and the eye may fail to
check the effective accuracy of the focus.
As for selecting the active focus sensor, the display on the bottom
of the viewfinder should suffice. I like the image in the
   viewfinder as uncluttered as possible.

Just today I hold a sample in my hands. It's significantly better
built than the FA 28-70/4, with no wobble of the inner tubes. Zoom
and focus collars are better damped. The only thing that bothers me
is the small focus throw - I doubt that 45 degrees are enough for
   accurate manual focus.
As for optical quality... I'm still waiting for reports. I expect
it to be better than the FA 28-70/4. Compactness is not enough to
   justify the price.
