i looked up some color Ansel Adams photos of the area. his pictures had some haze. not as much as i see in Bruce's but it's there. the saturation is markedly higher in the Adam's photos, partly because of the greater visibility. these days, it seems you get those really clear shots only right after a cold front with heavy rain has come through.

Such a beautiful place, ruined by pollution. Good photo, Bruce, but depressing.

Visibility in southeast Utah should be 100 miles. It used to be.

Just curious: what white-balance setting do you use for the haze photos?
