My first SLR was an MX when I was 15. I borrowed the money to buy it
from my father. I still own it and the M50mmf1.7 lens that came with it.
It was followed by a Super A which I bought to make use of he automatic
features when I needed to be ready for a shot quicker. The Super A was
a tool, and never as much fun to use as the MX.
My Z1p's were very nice to use and I loved the hyper modes.
Then came the MZ-S. It didn't have the hypermodes but it reminded me a
lot of the MX. It had everything I wanted with the exception of a
digital back and will remain forever my favourite film camera.
I am however rather an impatient sort and the lure of digital is
strong. I haven't shot film in a long time, but my MX and MZ-S will
stay with me just in case. Out of the 3 Pentax digital SLR's on the
market I'd still buy the *ist D over the S or L models, so I'm happy
with my choice. But if Pentax were to bring out an 10 or 12 megapixel
camera based on the MZ-S I'd have my order in before it hit the shelves.

Hi Gang ...
So, what's your favorite Pentax - even if it's one that you don't use or
use very much.
