Sorry to post again but I'm very intrigued with this, I do not have experience with true macro lenses, I want your comments on this:
A guy that does lens repairs showed me a Pentax 35-70mm macro lens modified to do 1.6:1 magnification without rings, more than any standard Pentax lens can do. I took it home to make some tests. I took a close-up picture of the MX speed selector: http://x64.com/joaquim/photo/photo05/ Second picture is a pixel by pixel center crop. An ant would have been more interesting but it's 4:00 in the morning and I couldn't find any. I'll post an ant picture as soon as I can find one. Is this lens good? Will a 50mm F4.0 or F2.8 be sharper?
