<LOL> One of my favorite portraits was made in a completely dark room save for the changing light of a TV screen. The LX, set on auto, performed very
well ... I was quote surprised at the consistency of the exposures even
though, second by second, the light was changing. I used a 400 speed B&W
film at its rated 400 ISO and an A*85mm/1.4 lens stopped down to 4.0 I
believe. Amazing system ... just curious, can any other camera do
something like that?

The LX is unique in this regard.

Perfectly exposed the Cumberland Falls moonbow on slide film. The LX on auto, rules! I'm not sure what my favourite Pentax camera is. I keep wanting to say it's the ZX-5n, for its just-right-for-me weight and size, its classic and simple control layout and the presence of advanced features despite the classic and simple control layout. It's the one I just want to pick up and use. Unfortunately my ZX-5n is not working and from a practical perspective, it's not worth fixing. I just wish that camera had been as well made as the LX ... or, for that matter, as well made as *any* other Pentax SLR body I've owned ...
The LX is probably a close second to the ZX-5n.
I wouldn't want to part with my PZ-1, but that is a matter of appreciating the versatility of the tool, rather than an emotional attachment. I mostly appreciate the *istD for the same reason as the PZ-1 -- does everything I want it to -- but again there's something about the ZX-5n. Meanwhile, the Optio 550 goes *everywhere* with me. Perfect "go-everywhere" low-profile camera.
