Oh water can be blue alright. In my experience, it's easier to see the further
north you get, because of the lower angle of the sun and increased intensity of
blue in the sky.

The Låg that is just Lågen is usually NumedalsLågen. The lower part of this
watershed is at least the only valley I know to be called Lågendalen. Further
up, the valley has a different name (Valdres). I can't recall at the moment
where one becomes the other, though...
