My Series 1 is version 3, and you are most likely right, the AF-converter contributes to the bokeh. I believe a lens hood would have changed the bokeh a lot. When turning away from the sun the combo perform very different. In this image, bokeh look's like fish eggs, in other shots it perform more like other lenses. I'm wondering it could some kind of flare related phenomena. Very peculiar.
I'll dig deeper into this later. Perhaps I'll reshoot the Troll some other time, with a hood. Now I'm off to shot musicians in Førde, with shorter lenses. Wish me luck. Tim Mostly harmless (just plain Norwegian.) Never underestimate the power of stupidity in large crowds (Very freely after Arthur C. Clarke, or some other clever guy) -----Original Message----- From: pancho hasselbach [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 6. juli 2005 23:50 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: "Test shoot" with my new Vivitar Series 1 70-210 & Pentax 1,7x AF-converter Tim, this bokeh really looks enchanted, suits perfectly the title. Nice framing! Maybe the TC is also involved in producing it? Which version of the lens do you have? I haven't tried mine yet for bokeh on reflections, I have got the second version. pancho Tim Øsleby wrote: > I had a walk in the mountains with my new lens combo.
