I just found the translation to "spirit level" = "water level" ?
Yes, I'm looking for some kind of handmade solution, maybe I could just take
the "level part" out an glue it as you did.
I was just thinking loud  but not hard enough:-)
I could image visibility in the viewfinder to be a nice feature for
architectural shots.
Of course your right, fitting a level on the body for handheld shots does
indeed not make a lot of sense, stupid me...
