My first Pentax was a MZ-M that I still own.
I bought it around 1999, in a 'cash-converters' (2n
hand) store. I exchanged it for my manual SLR Cosina,
along with its 28-80 kit lens.

I bought this Cosina with some money that my
Grandmother gave to me by saying 'and this time buy
something for you, don't just save it'. I bought the
Cosina, and its K mount lead me to Pentax and this
list.

Besides, the MZ-M came with an A 50/2, which opened my
eyes to the 'prime world'.

I think that this camera is a relly powerful learning
tool, since it offers the M, Av, Tv and P modes, with
the intuitive interface of the MZ-5/5n/3. The only big
complaint is the viewfinder (for a MF camera).

Nowadays, I use this camera to introduce my friends to
the SLR world by lending them the camera along with an
 AF28-70/4 zoom.
