Depends on what I'm doing. For wildlife (birds) I almost always use is in manual focus mode. For motorsports it's usually autofocus. I use it with the Sigma 1.4x and 2x teleconverters with good results. The Pentax 1.7x AF TC also works well. -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com
