I am also an ex-user of the A* 200/4 Macro who is now a current user of the A 100/2.8 Macro. I am not knocking the A* 200/4 Macro, really - I just find the A 100/2.8 Macro to simply be the nicest macro lens I've ever used (and I've tried quite a few of 'em, and still own a few of 'em, too). Fred
