running Photoshop's Autocolor seems to fix most of it. there is still a
slight magenta cast, but not bad as a starting point. doing Levels with the
whitepoint picker also seemed to have about the same effect.

It was originally scanned with the native scanning software, did a
horrible job with color balance. It was corrected as much as I could a
the time. I'm going to drag out the negatives some day and rescan using
vuescan to see if I can make it any better.
