And I would call it "perferated edges".
Another old fasioned photo edge is "deckle edges". Old timey (eary 50's and
back) snap shots use to come that way

Again me Shel
I use google very often for researches but first PDML is my
friend and gives me the opportunity to show a PESO too and
second you do have to know the exact word for a successful
search and there comes the language barrier sometimes for me.
Does one call this effect indeed "dentate" in proper English
or American English?
greetings
Markus

Like this?

There's an action that I believe comes standard with
Photoshop. It's
a part of the Frames action set and it's called waves. Within the
Frames set there are several actions.
If this is not what you want, remember, "Google is your friend."
So is the
Adobe User-toUser forum.

I would like to try producing some digital postcards with
a certain
nostalgic old look.
Therefore I would like to make the edges like the ones of very
old photos
-
"dentate" or stamp alike,
I don't know the exact wording.
Does anybody know of a filter or Photoshop plug-in or
another way to
produce
this effect?
