If you want continuous stop down metering with the *istD put the camera in
manual and mount a K or M lens.
Hold the DOF lever in. Surprise the display stays on and 1.) The rear
wheel becomes the shutter wheel,
the scale on the right hand side of the finder now displays how much above
or below the suggested exposure
you are in either 1/2 or 1/3 stops depending on your settings.
Thanks for that - I've just tried it and it works well (a bit fiddly holding
the DOF lever in, perhaps)
