Hi,

But y'see - and i don't know how this thread got so involved - I don't
particularly WANT the camera to do anything but auto bracket. I was just
curious how a couple of functions - mainly the autofocus - worked. I don't
even have a lens that can use autodocus. Anyway, at some point a bunch of
people tried, it seems, to convince me of the benefits of certain features,
and started suggesting other cameras that had the features I want ... <LOL>
Admittedly, I got a little caught up in the whole thing ...

Anyway, to answer your question - I've got numerous personal items to
photograph for insurance purposes and also for eBay sales. I'd use the
Sony digi but it took a fall and the tripod mount is damaged. So, while I
could use any camera I have here, having one that will auto bracket will
make things go a lot faster. And since I tend to be a little fussy about
results, and don't have any kind of studio lighting, bracketing will help
in ~some~ situations. There y'have it. I want to make a quick, assembly
line production, not fuss with metering small objects, or deal with the
vagaries of changing light. Just mount the camera on a small tpod and
start moving the objects through.

I don't have to use auto bracketing - I could take my time and make good,
individual exposures, but I don't want to.
