I like the concept that you are trying here. I just think it is a
little overdone on the processing. There needs to be a visible
closure of her cheek and chin. As it stands, it seems incomplete or
erased in that area.
Tell us what you did to process it - I am curious.
Yes of course. No secrets...
1. I did a channel mixer color->b/w conversion
2. Then I played with series of brightness/contrast and shadow/highlight
adjustments until I obtained necessary amount of pure white.
3. Then I adjusted levels so as to get good black hair.
4. Then I resized and sharpened it just a bit.
5. Finally I applied simple frame and was done.
That is, there were no selective operation applied to this shot - all my
actions were applied to the whole picture...
