In my book manual exposure is my default. Can't say I've ever used the program 
modes on my *ist D or MZ-S.

I'll agree to that for us "old timers", but for alot of newbies, auto modes are 
all they use.

You're right I didn't. Lately, I've been doing about 95% of my shooting 
using the spotmeter and manual exposure.

I guess I wasn't thinking of that as a feature. People have been 
shooting that way since cameras were invented.
