They probably don't make all of them, but Kodak does make some of their
digital cameras. Just a few months ago they had an announcement about a
very large facility being set up in Rochester to make digital cameras.
This new plant was expected to create 50 new jobs. Yes that's right -

The sad fact is, Kodak's traditional market is going away, and it's new market is cheap little P&S cameras being made in offshore factories that don't have the high overheads that domestic ones have. In order to be viable in this new marketplace, they pretty much have to do what the competition is doing. Thirty years ago, when I was just starting out in the photo game, no one had heard of Fuji. They were a bit player making a crappy product, and no one took them seriously.
Kodak didn't even admit Fuji existed at that time.
All of a sudden they became a very major player in the market and just about sent Kodak to the showers.
Hopefully, Kodak has learned from that experience.
