forecast is something to look back on and see if the company knew what it
was doing.

<shrug> Forecast is forecast - i.e. guess work. Maybe an educated guess,
but still a guess nonetheless. Especially in a quickly expanding market,
the forecast can be widely wrong. Trying to analyse market share using
forecast is fruitless; especially using it to predict glooms ahead.
