not to mention that 18MP will entry level MF digital if it ships when they
say it does, and it would be only marginally better than the current top of
the line Canon. the 1Ds lasted two years almost exactly before it was
replaced by the 1Ds Mk2. what do you think the odds are that in September,
2006, Canon will announce a DSLR with more than 18MP?

If it occurs it may be fine, but I'm not going to invest a whopping amount
of cash in another Pentax product that I would have to buy all new lenses,
filters, etc. for.
I don't understand why anyone would, unless they already had a 645
investment or money was no object.
