Shel wouldn't own a zoom.

How did you know that the lens was an SMCP 18mm f/3.8? Shel hasn't
stated that in any of his posts that I've seen. If it was a K mount
lens, then the lack of lens data in the EXIF makes perfect sense. I
personally don't know what Shel's lens inventory consists of,
although I was wondering what 18mm lens it might be. There aren't too
many choices.
However, for the point of this test, Shel might have used the
standard, DS kit zoom lens set to 18mm. It would have achieved the
same thing, and it would have populated the EXIF information fully.
And he would have been able to use the camera's default settings too.
