F**k It. I'm now looking at this purely as definitions for two words
of the English language :-)

The meaning has nothing to do with equipment, subject or location

Snap Shot. Lets break it down!

Snap (Done Suddenly) [adjective, before noun]
"done suddenly without allowing time for careful thought or preparation"

Shot (Photography) [noun]
"a photograph:"

Now if some people can "suddenly without allowing time for careful
thought or preparation" set up there 8x10 view camera & tripod then
that's a snap shot<g>.

My head hurts, I'm going to bed.
