I think so. Snapshots are like pornography, you know one when you see
one, (in other words its in the eye of the beholder). Sometimes they
transcend being snapshots sometimes they don't.

no a snapshot is a quick "grab" shot and in my
opinion (strong opinion) any shot not handheld
isnt a snapshot because it requires too much
pre-shot time and technique to be called a snapshot
if it isnt handheld. Even a tabletop tripod
type shot is far beyond what I would ever call a snapshot.
