Well yes, but _none_ of my lenses focus as close as I'd like.
The 85/2 comes close, but the only one that _really_ got close
enough was the 50/4 macro that got stolen. That's why I need
to pick up a set of extension tubes. (In the meantime, I use
my screwmount gear for macro. Looking forward to getting back
the flowers I shot last week using a bellows on my Spotmatic.
I would have used an H3, but I wanted the flash shoe.)
All in all, for reasonably sized subjects, the A 35-105/3.5
usually gets close enough.

Hi, Glenn.
My original question was based in what I read in Boz page and in other
places, that lense's min foc dist was 1,5 meters.
I't ok for a tele but not for a wideangle and normal.
Then here in PDML I knew it has a macro capability in 35mm end. Very
interesting (specially it being in the wide end and not in the tele end,
less practical at least to me), but I would prefer close focusing (between
0,5 to 0,6) in all range. I use my lenses (all primes, six in total) a lot
between 0,5 and 1,5 meters, specially my 50s.
The only zooms ofering this distances are modern zooms. It is: plastic
construction, horrible focusing ring, horrible manual focus feel, short
focus travel, making manual focus a pain in the ass.
But they are designed for autofocus, so I must shut up.
I would love to see a zoom (not a limited prime) with new days formulas and
old days construction.
Regards
Albano
