They are certainties to me as I haven't lost anything taken 30 years ago. I'm not in a fair position to compare stored film against digital images because I can't nip ahead 30 years and see if my worries about digital image storage are with foundation or not. I expect they aren't, but I have no way or knowing ....yet! The bulk of the photos I take aren't about here and now, they are about recording my area today for the future and often only have some relevance a decade or more later, when the area changes. Just because this is how I feel about film v digital doesn't mean that other folk have had similar experiences or feel the same way and it's good to have another viewpoint on this. It would make my use of digital a lot more relaxed if I felt really confident that I would be able to see the results years later and I would use the camera much more than I do now. Malcolm
