Now I see what's wrong. It's not the shadow. Its the perspective. Keith. You have seen it without really seeing. The tiny birds isn't 1/4 size. They are pigeons, in the background. Thats why they are small. But the perspective (or the lack of perspective) makes us believe the background is closer than what it really is.
