Sounds like this might fill the bill -
http://www.tripodhead.com/products/sidekick-main.cfm -  the Sidekick, comes
with a quick release, you'll need to pop an additional $50 to 75 for a QR
plate for the lens.
Its made to fit an existing ball head.

The WH100 & WH101 are the same with the addition of a quick release added to
one accounting for the extra cost. Again, you'll need a plate to mount your
lens.
