Here are some pics that are quick and dirty as a visual reminder for me
of a house I viewed recently. All handheld, high ISO - essentially: how
*not* to shoot interiors, but it will give you a good idea of what works
and what doesn't. Pentax K15mm 3.5 on a Canon 1D:

Forget flash. Watch for outside light pouring in through windows - either
arrange curtains or use multiple exposures married in Photoshop or
something. Big tip with ultra-wides : keep the camera as close to the
mid-point between floor and ceiling as possible. If you have the camera
up at eye level, you get lousy downward-looking perspective as in all my
quick and dirty pics. I'm 6'5", and so the camera was closer to the
ceiling ;-)
