because they can make a lot of money at it. if you look around the web site,
she is catering to people who want portraits of themselves looking like they
are Barbie dolls. she seems to be making a lot of money in that market.
those people, in turn, i know are making money with their Barbie look.
speaks more to our culture than anything else.

I don't know why some people feel that they must drag children into the
beauty pageant scene. It's one thing to take pictures of kids-especially
cute ones-but layering the make-up with a large trowel is too much. The
expressions on these young ladies' faces made them look like they should
have been auditioning for the 1970 version of "The Stepford Wives".
