Different kinda question, Herb. "Excessive photoshopping?" could be answered yay, nay, or somewhere in between. Your question, however, is not open to debate. "When did you stop beating your wife?" demands a specific answer. There's no room for opinion here. Shel could say with confidence "The last time I beat my wife was July 10th." Shel's wife could say the same thing. The only way you would get inconsistent answers is if Shel or his wife were lying or just plain forgot the exact date. I suppose we could debate the definition of "beating".
It's fairly obvious what Shel's opinions are, but several respondents have stated they don't mind the alterations to the photos in question. I don't see any problem with Shel's query, but your attempt to compare it to "When did you stop......." is obtuse and spiteful.
