I really meant "the first few rolls" (five, I think).
The batteries were brand new CR2 lithiums (store bought;
I didn't get batteries with the body). The problem was
on the second or third roll of film through the camera.
Not the first roll, and not the last roll. At present
it appears to be just a momentary glitch. If it happens
again I guess the camera will be going back to Pentax.
