Pentax made a limited run of the 43mm Ltd in Leica screw mount. I know of two Leica owners who have them ... I'd like to be #3. For the most part, C/V has been using LTM lenses, although recently they've started using the M mount.
LTM, not the M mount, would be the way to go. It would open up a wider range of bodies with which the lenses could be used, and all that would be needed is a typical and relatively inexpensive adapter, which Pentax could also sell instead of relying on the aftermarket.
