Auto-focus is useful for a lot more than "taking some nice pics" - in some
areas of photography it's the difference between an OK shot and a great one.
Also for some photographers -- not everybody's eyesight is perfect.

It isn't for everybody.  But neither is manual focus, no matter what the
zealots would have you believe.

Prophets of the one true way just show they are stuck in a limited rut.
