since the 100mm lens is effectively the same
AOV of a 150mm lens on full frame 35mm format,
these photos clearly disprove that only a 
85mm lens is good for portraits ( on full frame)
which would be the same as using a 55mm on
the istD which you didn't (100mm!).

This is why I like the 105 and 120mm 
lenses for portrait lenses on full frame
as well as 85mm. You did fine with 150mm
equiv so 105 and 120 are certainly NOT
too long for portraits on FF as many would
like to suggest....
