Hi all,

I finally got around to doing some more scanning. This photo was actually taken in portrait orientation but I think it looks better this way.

This is the second attempt of two. The first one was focussed on the legs at front. When I'm shooting handheld macro I often take two or three photos because it's virtually impossible to stand still enough for perfect focus. I'm starting to learn the benefits of a monopod (I find tripods a bit cumbersome for 35mm).

I've used a larger file than usual this time. I've yet to decide on the size that I will eventually standardise on when I redo my page design, and I've been listening to the people who have asked for bigger files :)

The body of the spider is very dark in the slide and I attempted to bring out a little detail (mostly toward the back). My screen is quite bright and I have pretty dim lighting in the room at the moment, so you might not be able to see much of it. I might have another play with it tomorrow.

Opinions are appreciated.

Cheers,

- Dave
